Our TV and entertainment system has come a long way. It started as black and white then went into color and now it is in high definition. Our cable and satellite services has also gone from standard definition color to high definition which gives better clarity and better picture. The new TV and service give more movies and entertainment channels to choose from. Satellite providers like Bell TV also provide the equipment to receive those high definition channels with provisions for connecting a home entertainment system. Not only will you watch high definiton movies, you will also hear better sound quality through your home theater system.

Just went to a movie with some kids. Actually, it’s one kid and several aunties. She wanted to see this movie about a little dog that had super powers. Or he thought he had super powers. The staff of the network that handles his series made the little dog believe that his body has been altered to become indestructible.

It was quite entertaining and comical. Watching the trailers beforehand made me think it will be enjoyed by little kids and even adults. Of course you won’t be just waltzing in that movie without a little boy or girl with you. I guess that’s why all of the adults there come with their kids to give them some time and enjoyment. It’s also an excuse to also be able to watch the movie themselves. It’s so much fun being a kid again.

I was a bit stammered when I went to see Semi-Pro. I’m not quite sure what I expect of the movie, but if you really think about it, it’s silly.

Will Ferrell plays as the coach/owner of the basketball team Flint Tropics. He is emotionally exaggerated he’s hilarious. The team happened to be the worst team in the league and they were in danger to be dissolved. And so Will Ferrell comes up with gimmicks including a wrestle with a bear after the game just to draw fans. The guys are dressed in cool 70’s outfits (bell bottoms, retro pants, funky vintage shirts, and high-heeled shoes for men- reminds me of my dad in his glorious youthful days-and realized it’s not so creepy at all, it’s even cool). Their basketball uniform is resplendent with orange and blue linings with a coconut logo on the shirt and the shorts are really short and sort of skimpy.

Semi-Pro is amusing and funny it made me laugh at its few scenes. I did enjoy watching it and will probably watch it a few more times to pass a hot, boring, summer afternoon and chill out.
